Saving and recovering budgets
How do I keep my budget?
Open Settings → Saved budgets → Save current budget, then give it a name. The current development version requires you to save; changes do not continuously save themselves.
Will my budget come back when I restore my phone?
We are still developing and testing reliable backup and recovery. Device backups may include saved app data, but complete restoration has not been verified. Do not rely on the development app as your only record. Restore Purchases does not recover a budget file.
What happens if Full access ends?
Your Full budget stays intact and viewable. Editing Full features requires eligible purchase access. You can still manage named saved copies. Save your current budget before starting a new Lite budget.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting a named budget does not immediately erase every recovery or backup copy. Read the deletion instructions for iPhone, Android, and browser storage, or contact us about information you have sent to support.
Prices and purchase access
Why might a test build say “Price unavailable”?
The app displays prices supplied by the store. Development builds may not have an active test catalogue or a completed store connection. That message means no price was loaded; it is not a charge or a purchase confirmation.
What is the difference between monthly and lifetime?
Both are intended to unlock the same Full access features. Monthly access renews until cancelled. Lifetime is a one-time purchase without a recurring subscription charge. Buying lifetime does not automatically cancel an existing monthly subscription.
How do I manage or restore an Apple purchase?
Use Manage Subscription or Restore Purchases in the app’s Full access screen. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase. You can also manage an Apple subscription in your device settings. Restoring eligible access does not restore your budget files.
How do I request a refund?
Store purchases are handled by the store that charged you. For Apple purchases, visit Apple’s Report a Problem service. Google Play purchasing is not yet available in Damwise Budget; general Play purchase help is available from Google Play Support.
iPhone and Android
Damwise Budget is being developed for iPhone and Android from a shared app codebase. Google Play billing and Chipworth playback have not yet been implemented for Android. Neither version is currently available as a public store download.
There is no shared online Damwise account or cross-store purchase transfer system. Do not assume an Apple purchase will unlock a Google Play version or that a budget will move between platforms automatically.
About your financial plan
Damwise is a planning tool. It does not connect to your bank, move real money, pay bills, or provide personalised financial advice. Check your actual account balances and bill due dates independently.
